holiday party series: champagne

Another year has flown by and we find ourselves facing
the coming of another. It is a time for reflection, growth, thankfulness and being around the people we love. For this last segment of my party wear series I decided to focus on something we all love this time of year: champagne. The gold and the sparkle, the unique cutouts and the textures of these items will give you a standout look. I would pair this with simple, wavy hair, a dark purple lip and shimmery nail.

Wishing you all a happy and prosperous new year!

december: favorite looks

Lucy of LULUTRIXABELLE
This girl has an impeccable and quirky style that is a perfect mix of thrift
and designer finds. I love the liquid texture of this skirt, and how the whole look is a comfortable, yet stylish party look. Plus, she's just a babe.

Madeline of JEAN GREIGE
Not only can she pull any item off, but her style is so individualized
and every look is uniquely hers. Madeline is also the co-designer of Bad Vibes, which you can view here.

Taylor of RESTLESS YOUTH
I love her simple, classic looks that always have details to make the entire
outfit important. In this particular look I am loving the pink socks with her all black ensemble.

holiday party series: holly

This weeks party wear post is inspired by the colors of Christmas holly.
This is an obvious festive look, but I was intrigued by textures, namely sequins and furry jumpers, which I am dying to make a staple in my wardrobe. I am also loving midi skirts, which are great for dressing up or for everyday. I would pair this with a nude face and statement lip and nails for a unique and individualized party look.

holiday party series: snowflakes

For this week’s holiday party wear post I was inspired by the colors and
intricate details of snowflakes. Many of the pieces I selected have a smooth texture or complex beading and sequins in a pattern that, to me, could mimic one of a snowflake. As for the accessories, I wanted to keep the color scheme the same and add a little sparkle with a vintage earring, brooch or hair comb. I would also grunge this look up a bit with a chunkier shoe, black lip and for interest add false lashes with white liner or shadow.

hopeless lingerie

Australia is quickly becoming one of my favorite places for fashion.
This Melbourne based company, Hopeless Lingerie, constructs some of the most originative undergarments. Not only are the designs intricate and interesting, but they flatter a woman’s body in a unique way. Available in both black and white, the new winter pieces showcase creative cutouts, strapping and sheer fabrics to create standout pieces that can be styled with (or without) clothing.
